Pumpkin Carving

Date: Thursday, October 16 2008

Time: 06:00 PM

Location: Multi-Faith Center (Koffler Institute)

AWOOOOOOOO!!!!

Halloween is approaching: Do you know where your parents are!?!

This Thursday, join us for a blood-curdling evening of Islamic history, stories and pumpkin carving. Discover whether Ismailis believe in ghosts and - more frighteningly - discover about The Jinn, a third type of being that Allah created alongside humans and angels. Some people swear that you can identify Jinns because their feet are turned backwards. Is this true? Decide for yourself after hearing translations from the Qu'ran and our ginans.

Finally, share your artistic flair by carving the craziest jack-o-lantern ever. Compete for a multitude of prizes including Scariest or Most Islamic Pumpkin. This evening will be a hootnanny in the truest sense.

Join us on Thursday, October 16 for this unique chance to learn about the Islamic supernatural with your friends around to comfort you. It'll be a scream.
